I recently was contemplating getting a new car. My first thought was “I need power and I need something different.” So I decided I would start doing some research and obviously being a BMW guy, I looked there first. I went i and drove a 2018 M3 with some options on it. I was less then impressed to be honest. It didn’t feel like it had that aggressive power that was almost uncontrollable. It felt so held back, no emotion, no true sound, no life and left me feeling empty.

So I gave up on the M3 pretty quickly and moved on to the C63s Sedan. It was a nice experience, the interior is wonderful and the overall drive is very fun! I was shocked as I am not the biggest Mercedes-Benz fan but that car was definitely fun to drive. It handles well, sounds amazing and has plenty of power. Pretty much what I was looking for until…well I drove the Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio.

Getting into the car: its not that fancy, its not as beautiful as a Mercedes interior, its known for not being reliable but it drives like an absolute animal. This vehicle is something I never expected it to be, amazing. Now you are thinking what makes this car amazing. The Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio has a unique look for one. The exterior has some nice curves and has vents placed in all the rights spots to make sure their is constant airflow which in the ends holds down speed.

The interior is some what plain but if you are a true driver you are not worried about the accent lighting etc that you see in a Mercedes. You are not worried about the functionality of how your music is played. When you look at the steering wheel above, you see some one of a kind things. The start/stop button on the steering wheel is beautiful especially with the red button. Feels great to press, let me tell ya! The alcantara on top and the carbon fiber on the bottom is a great combo. Carbon fiber on the middle console and throughout various parts of the vehicle is plenty of “design” and “style” for me.

Diving into this engine: This car has, technically, a Ferrari California engine with two less cylinders. This gets you 505 horsepower and 443 lb-ft torque, more than what the Giulia Quadrifoglio’s competitor’s were to offer. The 0-60 is quoted to be at 3.9 flat. Myself and the salesperson did a couple pulls and we thought it was closer to 3.5, but we obviously did not use proper tools or even a vbox.

The drive of the car is phenomenal. Its nothing short of spectacular, can you tell I loved it? The power is pretty intense and comes on very strong when you push the throttle. I noticed that I needed to ease my way into the power or else I would get a ton of wheel spin. My previous car was an M2 and I ran into the same issues at times after getting my tune, so I did have some prior experience with this “issue” and it allowed me to get a feel for the car pretty quick. After adjusting my driving style, I noticed that car does drive pretty smooth and it can be used as a daily which is what I would like to do with it. The sound is pretty mean and aggressive but it could use a little extra help!

The power this thing puts down just put a huge smile on my face. I know when I smile uncontrollably and can’t stop laughing that its a great car. Smooth drive, aggressive drive and FUN to drive. It’s exactly what I am looking for in my next car. I am not sure when I will be able to afford it but I will keep you guys updated!
